It's been a lot of fun but I'm limited in that I can upload to facebook but not to my blog. My mom (hi, Mom!) doesn't use facebook but she does read my blog and I know she'd like some of the pictures.

So! I have moved my blog to the tumblr platform so I can upload photos there too. He'd been through three assistants in less than nine months. (It should be noted that while I found him to be lazy, he was not difficult at all. He really just wanted his laptop on and his coffee waiting when he arrived in the morning. Piece of cake.)

At the new place, the most I've heard is that the assistant I'll be working with may be a bit sensitive in coming weeks because her mom just passed away. This was said, I'm sure, as a way to protect her.

I'm not saying this new workplace will be perfect, nor do I expect or want it to be. But, my gut is telling me that I will find it a mostly supportive environment. I like being somewhere I can say, "No, really. Please don't share that sort of information with me. I don't want to know."

So, I've decided, for the purposes of this blog, I shall refer to my workplace as NKL: Not Knots Landing.

New job!

I'm pleased to report I've got a steady contract (that's the plan, anyway) until the end of the year. Yes, it's the fancy pants job I interviewed for last Friday.

My questions have been answered and so far, so good. The office setting is second-to-none and the people I've met so far seem quite pleasant. This is an excellent opportunity to add to my resume, life experience, and--thank goodness--bank account.

I've yet to dream up a blog name for it (as, of course, I don't discuss such things in detail on the Interwebs) but let's say it is nautical in theme.
